| Half Day Tour (Cultural Township
Experience) |
 |
Just like a chameleon this tour is designed to make you feel
at one with the people interacting with you.
Take a journey into a world of colour, contrast, unique cultural
flavour and ultimately a new understanding of the pulsing heart
of South Africa.
|
And like a chameleon,
the people of South Africa consist of many colours, prompting one
of our struggle leaders, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, to call us The
Rainbow Nation – a name we are proud to wear.
|
 |
We will begin our tour at District
Six with a drive through District Six. We then continue our tour
to Langa, the oldest and most central township, just East of the
formerly- white suburb of Pinelands. Here you will have a chance
to consult with a Sangoma – a traditional doctor. From here
we will continue through the areas of Gugulethu, Nyanga and Khayelitsha.
